School Based Library Programme

Pratham has set up 'Creative Corners' in about 200 Municipal Primary Schools spread across five zones within North Delhi and East Delhi Municipal Corporations. More than 50,000 children freely access books on a regular basis.

   

Early Childhood Programme

Pratham has community based Balwadis (pre-schools) in collaboration with Anganwadis. This programme reaches over 9,000 children, in the age group of 3-5 years.

   
Early Literacy and Numeracy Classes

These classesare set up for children in Grade 1 and 2. Currently 2,000 children have been reached through these classes.
   
Special Programmes

Pratham Delhi Education Initiative (PDEI) is a registered Public Charitable Trust and is one among the seven autonomous trusts that are part of the Pratham network. The PDEI was established in 1999 and direct programmes of Pratham in Delhi are planned and implemented by the trust. The nine-member board of trustees comprises of eminent educationists, social workers and former civil servants. 

Pratham has set up large-scale, community based, preschool centres as well as classes that help bridge the gap between out of school children and the Municipal School System.

Community-based Learning Hubs

The aim is to create a hub for demonstration, training and advocacy in the community. The 'Hub Model' includes preschool and library units that will aim to provide training opportunities in early childhood education, elements of Right to Education Act, etc. for volunteers and members of the community.
