Pratham began working in the state of Jharkhand in 2007 and today has multiple programmes operating in the state:
Read India is active in 3 blocks across 3 districts.
A PACE Hospitality Training Centre has been set up in Jamshedpur under Pratham's Vocational Training programme.
Digital Classrooms are currently active in 100 schools.
Special Programmes

Tata Power funds a programme in the Kurku block of the Saraikela district to improve the learning outcomes of children in primary school to grade 8.
Government Tie Ups

In 2013, Pratham partnered with the district administrations across the state and UNICEF to implement a learning improvement programmes for children in grades 3-5 in government schools. 

In the Simdega district, an additional pilot was conducted to improve English learning levels in upper-primary grades in 50 government schools.
