Pratham crosses 100,000 village mark in the Lakhon mein Ek campaign

To mark Pratham's 20th anniversary and ASER's 10th anniversary Pratham had decided to reach out to 100,000 villages (and urban localities) to see if people in these communities were willing to take a look at the status of schooling and learning in their neighbourhood and then declare their willingness to take action to improve the situation. This campaign called Lakhon mein Ek was launched just after Diwali in mid November. On Christmas Day last week, we have crossed the 100,000 village/community mark.

Please visit lakhonmeinek.org to know more about the campaign and to get the latest count of villages reached.

This is a fantastic achievement. A testament to incredible hard work by thousands of Pratham people and lakhs of village and community volunteers.

This is only the beginning. The challenge lies ahead. We now need to figure out how we are going to help 100,000 communities change their own situation and shape their children's destiny by ensuring that every child is in school and learning well.

We would like to thank you all for your continuing support over the years and for your trust in us.

Our warmest wishes for the holiday season and for the New Year
