Kanesh Balasubramaniam
Kanesh Balasubramaniam is a partner at He represents multiple top-tier financial sponsors on many of the market leading European and North American leveraged buy-outs, including in his previous roles at Kirkland & Ellis and Latham & Watkins. He started his legal career as a Justices’ Law Clerk of the Supreme Court of Singapore, concurrently holding an adjunct faculty appointment at the School of Law of the Singapore Management University, where he explored different pedagogical approaches to teaching the law.
Kanesh holds a Bachelor of Business (first class honors) from Nanyang Technological University, where he was a President’s Research Scholar, and a Juris Doctor (summa cum laude) from Singapore Management University, where he was a KGC Scholar. He is a classically trained operatic tenor and Indian classical musician.
