Shaefali Sakharkar

Shaefali’s drive to enter the not-for-profit sector largely stems from her undergraduate degree in International Development, where she developed in-depth knowledge on a range of topics, from gender issues to social innovations for development. She has years of experience in people-facing roles, and has volunteered with international, national and regional non-profit organisations, such as Utopia56 (Calais), Cancer Research UK, and Me2 Club. While Shaefali has mostly been raised in the UK, she has strong connections to Maharashtra and India, and is passionate about addressing a wide range of intersecting social issues. Outside of this, Shaefali’s interests lie in photography, music and nature.
