How remote learning with Pratham inspired Anushree to become a teacher

In the village of Madanapur, nestled in the buffer zone of the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, a diverse community thrives. Among them is Anushree, an 11-year-old student who has embarked on a remarkable journey of transformation through Pratham’s learning programs.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted their lives, Anushree faced significant challenges in her education. Low self-confidence and struggles with reading and writing weighed her down. However, when school closures hit, Anushree found solace and support in Pratham’s remote learning initiatives.

With the help of Vaibhav, a dedicated Pratham volunteer, Anushree accessed learning content on his mobile device and attended his classes at the Village Learning Centre. These opportunities became pivotal moments for Anushree’s growth.

Gradually, her confidence blossomed and her knowledge grew. Now, she not only engages actively in learning but also takes the initiative to gather her friends for group study sessions.

Anushree’s progress is a source of great joy for her family. Her father is grateful for the support Pratham has provided in the education of their children. With a newfound love of maths and aspirations of becoming a teacher, they are excited to see what Anushree’s future will hold and everything she will go on to achieve.

Her journey is a testament to the power of education and the resilience of individuals in the face of challenges.

Through Pratham’s transformative learning programs and the dedicated support of volunteers like Vaibhav, children like Anushree can overcome barriers and fulfil their potential.

Anushree’s story inspires us all to believe in the transformative power of education and the remarkable impact it can have on individual lives and wider communities.
