Volunteering at Pratham UK
Pratham relies on thousands of volunteers annually to improve literacy and learning for underprivileged children in India. In the UK we rely on volunteers to help us in our office with fundraising and marketing. Here are a few words from one of our recent volunteers Shreeya about here experience:
Working at Pratham UK for the last few months has been a huge learning experience for me. I have always been interested and passionate about their impact on children’s education in India but working on the fundraising side in the UK chapter proved to be equally interesting and rewarding. I was particularly involved in university outreach, where students shared a common goal of making education accessible. Working with a small team gave me more insight into the range of tasks required to run the UK chapter and provided the opportunity to take initiative with new projects.
