Pratham UK confirm exciting final auction lots for their upcoming annual Gala
We’re less than one day away before Pratham UK’s annual Gala returns in the magnificent surroundings of Raffles London at The OWO, Whitehall on Friday 6th October at 6.30pm!
We’re back this year with some brilliant live auction lots for our guests to bid on, from luxurious vacations in Sri Lanka to signed sports memorabilia from cricket legend and Pratham UK guest, Sourav Ganguly.
We’ve been sharing a few sneak peeks with our Pratham UK supporters over the last few weeks; however, we now have a final list of our generous live auction supporters with a little more detail of what’s on offer!
Live auction
Private tasting menu with drinks for up to 10 people at Trishna, Marylebone

Sourav Ganguly signed cricket bat
A priceless collectors’ item for cricket enthusiasts, signed by one of the world’s great cricket legends. Arguably India’s most successful Test Cricket Captain, ‘Dada’ led the Indian team like no other during his captaincy in the early 2000s.
This signed cricket bat has kindly been donated by DreamsetGo, India’s leading luxury sports travel and experiences company.

Enjoy beautifully framed photographic artwork by Delhi-based artist, Bonny Hazuria.
Bonny was fascinated by photography very early in life with her father’s work playing a major influence in the years of her apprenticeship.
Kitty Hazuria, a well-known photographer through the 1970’s and 80’s, helped Bonny hone her skills through photographing people and models while Bonny was still in college.
Her first solo show was in the Visual Arts Gallery at the India Habitat Centre in 2011. ‘Tempo’ is a beautiful display of Bonny’s talents as a photographer and artist, and we are honoured to have her work in our auction.

Set of two photographic works by Arjun Paliwal
Arjun Paliwal’s practice seeks to understand and interrogate the relationship between his identity as a Queer Indian artist and the commercial art gallery.
By simultaneously embracing and confronting the concept of the ‘White Cube’, Arjun explores the perception and (lack of) representation of non-white artists within Fine Art spaces. The photographic image is leveraged to investigate the relationship between form and power.
‘Icons’ are impossible to replicate. Millions of pixels come together to honour abstraction. The viewer is invited to reflect on the implications of idolising these symbols through digitisation and subsequently physical reproduction, on the work’s originality and ultimately its commercial power.

Ram Dharbar idol – Artnam by Arti Bhandari with Daily Prayers book by Rahul Nath
This magnificent Ram Dharbar idol is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and spirituality, combining all three elements of copper, 24K gold and silver. Every intricate detail, like the serene expressions of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman, speaks volumes about the dedication of the artisan who brought this idol to life.
Artnam is the trading name of K-Lite. Abstract painting by London-based artist Taran Mathur
Passionate about painting since the age of 3, Taran Mathur is an independent, self-taught artist who has played with various art mediums and strokes.
His experimental artwork caught his school-teacher’s eye, and at the age of 11, his art was displayed at the iconic Royal Academy of Art.
Since then, there has been no turning back for Taran. Seizing any spare time he got, he spent nights painting abstract art on canvases. He set up his own website where he displayed his art.
This online presence led to him being approached by the New Artist Fair, which resulted in his first art exhibition in 2016.
Taran’s most recent exhibition was held in Barcelona at the ArtBaho exhibition. Subsequently, Taran’s art has traveled internationally and been very
well received in England, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Singapore, Dubai, America and India.
Taran has used his art to support charitable institutions. By auctioning his art, he has raised substantial amounts for charities such as The Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis and Pratham.
He has participated in the Pratham Art Exhibition at the Nehru Centre as well at the Pratham Gala.
